It’s here, The Arrangement is finally here! (cue shameless plug on where you can buy it!)

Also available on iTunes, but I am Apple illiterate and don’t know how to get the link.
I started this book in late 2013, two and a half years later I’m releasing it out into the world for everyone to judge.
Why am I doing that?
I will 100% admit to equal parts excitement and terror today. But I’m trying to ignore the impending panic. There is this popular saying that moms on social media throw around (and is totally true):
“Making the decision to have a child – it is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body. ”
― Elizabeth Stone
I feel the exact same way about this book. I started writing it to have something for myself outside work and parenting, with no intention of showing it to any one other than friends and family. I don’t know at what point I decided I should try publishing, but here I am. Now people everywhere (I’m an optimist) are going to read and judge it. Hold me.
Okay, to stave off my panic attack I’m going to give you some Easter Eggs to look out for while reading (it is Easter weekend after all). These are just little things I’ve planted throughout the book as my own little wink wink to those in certain fandoms or in my life.
Super Nerd: Keep an eye out for some pop-culture references including Doctor Who and The Princess Bride.
Real Places: The Arrangement takes place in Pittsburgh, and I reference some real places in the book: Thai Me Up is an awesome Thai restaurant (with an equally awesome name) on the South Side, Arsenal Lanes is a real bowling alley, and the Cathedral of Learning is on the campus of my alma mater, The University of Pittsburgh. The club Michelle and Coral go to blow off some steam is supposed to be the now defunct Upstage/Laga, which was a popular hang out when I was in college (not for me, I was a homebody). One place I made up is Krol’s Bakery, though it is very very loosely based off Prantl’s Bakery in Shady Side (get the Burnt Almond Torte, seriously).
Tattoos: There is a lot of talk about tattoos in the book, but one in particular is a tattoo I almost got when I turned 18. It’s Michelle’s first tattoo, which she tells Jeremiah about on a work trip, you’ll know it when you read it. 😉
Parking Lots: This is an Easter Egg I put in almost everything I write. I like to sneak in scenes that take place in a parking lot. In The Arrangement the scene got severely cut down to only being mentioned briefly. But originally I had a whole scene with Michelle and Coral fighting over the phone in a parking lot. Why parking lots? My hubby proposed to me in a gravel parking lot, in the middle of the night, with no lights anywhere nearby. It’s my little homage to him.
